Supply plan
Hygiene management during the travelling season:
After 3-5 races, the microbial pressure increases significantly in many flocks. Even externally healthy pigeons can already show signs of stress in the crop, mucous membranes and digestive tract. Yeasts, bacteria and other opportunistic germs in particular can have a negative impact on regeneration and performance.
A veterinary examination or the regular checking of faecal samples remains sensible and important. However, not every breeder has the opportunity to visit a specialised vet at short notice.
WaterControl is a modern hygiene module based on hypochlorous acid (HOCl).
HOCl has a broad spectrum of activity against:
- Bacteria
- Viruses
- Yeasts
- Mushrooms
Hypochlorous acid is not an exogenous substance. It is produced naturally by the immune system for microbial control.
The aim of the application is not aggressive „sterilisation“, but the controlled reduction of microbial pressure in the drinking water and upper digestive tract.
In contrast to many classic permanent treatments:
- No additional antibiotic load
- No known resistance problems as with antibiotics
- No additional detoxification capacity of the liver due to active pharmaceutical ingredients
Practical use during the travelling season
Saturday - Flight day
After the return:
- first of all, promote regeneration (RecoverAmin Forte) and the dam environment (SymBiotic)
- as 2nd drinker or in the evening 5ml WaterControl / 1 litre drinking water or
- Optional crop rinsing with WaterControl for hygienic relief
Sunday
- Intensive hygienisation with 3 - 5 ml/L WaterControl via the drinking water
- Supplements and regeneration products should preferably be administered with the feed during this phase.
Monday
- Continuation for daily maintenance hygiene 0.5 - 1.0 ml/L WaterControl via the drinking water
- Continue to administer supplementary feed via the grain feed
- Focus on liver regeneration and metabolism
Tuesday and Wednesday
- WaterControl still possible via drinking water
- Hygienic stabilisation during increasing load
- Continue to use supplements via the feed if necessary
Thursday and Friday
- Supply according to weekly travel plan
Supplementary instructions for use
WaterControl is based on hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and was specially developed for drinking trough hygiene in racing pigeon lofts.
It supports:
- the reduction of biofilm
- Hygienically clean drinking troughs
- the reduction of microbial pressure in the stock
Regular use can be a valuable component of modern stroke hygiene, especially during the racing season.
