BergerPearls No.1 can also be mixed into the breeding feed with 10% as an alternative to separate feeding. Care should then be taken to ensure that all the pigeons come to the feeder at the same time to ensure that the Pearls are consumed as evenly as possible. If there are young birds in the nest, the amount of food mixed in with the Pearls is increased according to the young birds' food requirements.

As an alternative to use in drinking water, the products SymBiotic, VitalDrink and RecoverAmin Forte can also be administered together via the grain feed. When administered via the grain feed, WaterControl can then be used daily in the drinking water.

During the breeding and rearing phase, racing pigeons have a particularly high requirement for energy, building blocks (protein/amino acids/minerals), functional nutrients and stable intestinal health. The following supply plan describes a balanced, practical supply that optimally supports the immunity, fertility and development of young pigeons.
BergerPearls No. 1 - approx. 10 % in breeding feed
BergerPearls No. 1 are mixed with around 10 % in a protein- and energy-rich breeding mixture during breeding. The pearls provide high-quality energy and protein from peanut kernels and support the immune system and mucous membranes thanks to their functional coating. The combination of MCT oils and other ingredients also helps to promote a stable, balanced environment in the gut and create an environment that supports the natural balance of digestive processes.
They are ideal for the intensive phases surrounding mating, egg formation and rearing young. Especially when feeding simpler grain mixtures, the pearls optimise the basic supply thanks to the density of essential nutrients and active ingredients they contain and supplement the feed with functional components in a valuable way.
VitalDrink - Mon., Wed. and Fri.
VitalDrink is used three times a week during the entire breeding and rearing period.
The combination of elderberry, milk thistle oil, sea buckthorn and organic acids provides support:
- Immune system
- Liver metabolism
- Mucous membranes
- general metabolism
An active metabolism is particularly important in the breeding phase and is specifically promoted by regular use.
RecoverAmin Forte - together with VitalDrink
RecoverAmin Forte is added to the drinking water on the same days (Mon., Wed. and Fri.) as VitalDrink. The amino acids and functional substances it contains help the parent birds to produce more antibodies, which provides the young pigeons with more effective protection.
The combined use improves the rearing performance and stabilises the young animals in the first weeks of life.
SymBiotic - preparatory treatment + 2 days at the weekend
- Before breeding: 5-7 days as a continuous cure to stabilise the microbiome
- During rearing: Saturday and Sunday
SymBiotic combines probiotic and prebiotic components and ensures a resilient intestinal environment. The microorganisms contained occupy important docking sites in the intestine and form natural metabolic products that shape the environment in favour of a healthy and stable microbiome. In this way, the so-called competitive exclusion is supported, a principle in which „good“ bacteria stabilise the digestive tract by simply limiting the space for undesirable microorganisms. A strong microbiome supports digestion, strengthens immunity and prevents the build-up of infection pressure during the sensitive rearing phase.
WaterControl - Tue. and Thu.
WaterControl is administered via the drinking water two days a week.
The hypochlorous acid ensures a hygienically perfect drinking trough and significantly reduces the possible transmission path of pathogens.
Its use is particularly useful between days on which additives are applied and contributes to a constantly low infection pressure in the field.
Minerals - daily
An adequate supply of minerals is essential during the breeding phase.
Minerals should be offered daily to support the formation of stable eggshells, the development of young animals and the entire metabolism.
