Description
SymBiotic, the symbiotic intestinal cure for pigeons
SymBiotic is a powdered feed supplement for stabilising and building up healthy intestinal flora in racing pigeons. For the first time, it combines five selected probiotic bacterial strains (Bacillus velezensis, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus licheniformis, Enterococcus lactis, Pediococcus acidilactici) with the prebiotic components of yeast (MOS, FOS) and a complete B-vitamin spectrum in one product.
This sophisticated symbiosis ensures that harmful germs are bound and excreted, while beneficial bacteria are specifically promoted. The result: stable intestinal flora, better feed conversion, stronger defences and faster recovery after stress.
The most important symbiotic effects at a glance:
Pediococcus acidilactici
- Lowers the pH value through lactic acid production
- Forms bacteriocins against salmonella, clostridia and E. coli
- Strengthens the immune defence against coccidia
Enterococcus lactis
- Stabilises the intestinal flora and improves feed conversion
- Has an anti-inflammatory effect (reduction of IL-8 and TNF-α)
- Forms bacteriocins against pathogenic germs
Bacillus licheniformis
- Produces enzymes for improved digestion
- Supports immune function and disease resistance
- Promotes growth and metabolic stability
Bacillus subtilis
- Increases IgA and IgG levels in crop milk → strengthens young pigeon immunity
- Promotes beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus & Bifidobacterium
- Strengthens regeneration and intestinal health
Bacillus velezensis
- Has an antimicrobial effect against Clostridium and Campylobacter
- Reduces the PiCV viral load in the faeces and spleen of pigeons
- Modulates the immune response → less inflammation, stronger defences
The role of yeast prebiotics
- MOS catch harmful germs, while FOS feed the beneficial bacteria. Together they reduce the infection pressure and sustainably strengthen the microbiome.
SymBiotic supports your pigeons in all performance phases, whether young pigeons, racing, moulting or breeding, by stabilising the microbiome, strengthening the immune system and accelerating recovery after stress.
Feeding recommendation: 5 g per 1 litre of drinking water or over 1 kg of feed (for approx. 20 pigeons per day) For intestinal stabilisation after the race: 2 days after the flight To build up shape before distance flights: 1-2 days before basketing Breeding & moulting: 2 times a week Young pigeons: 2 days before & 2 days after each pre- and prize flight After treatments: 10 g several days in a row To build up and promote the microbiome: as a cure over 5-7 days
