BergerPearls No.1 can also be mixed into the grain feed with 10% as an alternative to separate feeding. Care should then be taken to ensure that the Pearls are consumed as evenly as possible.

As an alternative to use in drinking water, the products SymBiotic, VitalDrink and RecoverAmin Forte can also be administered together with the grain feed. However, practice has shown that water absorption is very good right from the start, which is why it is recommended to give them in drinking water.

During the first few weeks after weaning, young pigeons have a particularly sensitive need for energy, building blocks (protein/amino acids/minerals), functional nutrients and, above all, stable intestinal health.
The following care plan describes a practical, systematically structured care programme that specifically supports the transition from parental care to complete self-regulation and controls the infection pressure in the herd.
Phase 2: Safeguarding (day 8-14)
The microbiome begins to stabilise, while at the same time contact with the environment increases and with it the pressure of infection.
The aim is now to secure the balance achieved and at the same time control the germ pressure in the stock.
BergerPearls No. 1 - daily
Continuation with about 3 g per young pigeon daily, to maintain the functional support of the intestines, mucous membranes and metabolism.
VitalDrink + RecoverAmin - every second day
VitalDrink (5 ml/L) and RecoverAmin (5 ml/L) will continue to be used regularly, but reduced to every second day.
The combination continues to support metabolism and immune function without overstimulating the organism.
SymBiotic - every second day
SymBiotic is also every second day with 5 g/L to further stabilise the microbiome and maintain the competitive exclusion.
WaterControl - targeted use
WaterControl is now used situationally, especially for:
- Increased infection pressure
- moist or unstable faeces
- High stocking density
- Increased environmental pollution
The hypochlorous acid ensures hygienically safe drinking water and reduces possible transmission paths for pathogens.
The aim is not sterility, but a controlled balance in the population.
Feeding and minerals
- Breeding feed remains unchanged
- Offer minerals and grit daily
